Max and Federico Fico Gutiérrez will race this weekend at El Dorado Speedway, a magnificent one-kilometer racetrack with a capacity for 14,000 people, inaugurated in 2012, with just six events in its history in the NASCAR Mexico Series, with the characteristic of be a night race, located in the middle of the Chihuahua desert, the largest state in the country.
Max Gutiérrez (in the only race he has competed in Chihuahua) was second in the Trucks México Series in 2018, precisely in the year in which he was crowned champion in this promotion category, at 15 years of age.
In 2019, the NASCAR Challenge was not called to Chihuahua, a category in which Max Gutiérrez debuted in that year, and in 2020 and 2021 there was no event due to the pandemic.
And it will be until now, in 2022, that Max will look for his first and long-awaited first place checkered flag in NASCAR Mexico, the series’ stellar category.
For Fico Gutiérrez it will be his first opportunity to participate in what is the only night race in Mexico, and he will do so in the NASCAR Challenge, in which he has just been promoted.
The Gutiérrez brothers (Gutiérrez Brothers, as they are known in the neighboring country to the north), in addition to seeking victory on the track, will be present at the NASCAR Parade at the facilities of La Feria de Chihuahua, in what will be a true party popular, where they will live with the fans of the best stock car series in Mexico.
Both drivers participate in both NASCAR Mexico and NASCAR United States, with a busy and extensive schedule, on their way to reach the top of The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing.
Max (19 years old) and Fico (16) are ambassadors for TOUGHBUILT, SEARS, BOLSADX, TEKNEKK, TELCEL, ZTE, REYNET, AVAYA and COSEIN, at Escudería Telmex Telcel.
